Why we should EXERCISE in the morning?

Exercise in the morning gives you energy to kick start your day. You will be more active and feel energized. This will keep you motivated. It also establishes a routine for you. Once it becomes a routine, you will be less likely to skip it.Exercise in the morning gives you a sound sleep at night. The morning Sun supports your natural circadian rhythm (sleep/wake cycle), which is significant for your sleep.

Evening workout will make your body active and boosts the body temperature; this won’t let you sleep till late night. Hence you will be tired all day long. Sleep deprivation makes you irritable. Studies have shown that people who work out in the morning gets sound and deeper sleep.

Exercise helps in relieving stress and relaxes your body. This will decrease your body’s cortisol level which is a stress hormone. So when you go to office after your workout, you are more likely to handle a strenuous situation in a better manner.  Studies have shown that exercise reduces our blood pressure and also it has proved people who work out in the morning have lower their blood pressure by 10%.  It has a positive effect on your mood, performance and also it reduces the chances of taking leave due to sickness.

When you start your day early and do your workout then the entire day is free. You may be sitting idle at home but mentally you know you have accomplished something. Your body also performs well as it rested a night before. You will have more stamina and energy to do your workout in the morning.

Working out in the morning won’t let you skip your breakfast. As you have burned enough calories so your body asks for food. Breakfast is the utmost important meal of the day. Once you do your exercise in the morning you are free the rest of the day, people who work out in the evening, high chance they may get stuck in the office and miss on their exercise routine. Morning workout will let you spend your evening the way you want to and you will have lot of time to socialize in the evening.

Morning exercise gives you an exposure to sun. The best time to be in the Sun is from 8 am to 10 am. Sun is the best source of Vitamin D. Morning time is the perfect time to get your daily dose of Vitamin D as sun rays are not very harsh at that time. Deficiency of vitamin D makes your bones weak, pain in the joints, hair fall, muscle ache. It also increases your Serotonin levels in the body which is very essential to calm your mind and boosts your mood. Low level of Serotonin can lead to depression.
