Sushant Singh’s unfortunate death has led to commotion in the entire nation like a fire in the forest. His demise has raised issues which were hidden beneath the carpet in the Bollywood industry and whosoever would raise this issue would have been boycotted. The talented actor Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide on 14th June 2020 by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his bedroom at his Bandra residence in Mumbai, which rekindled arguments about bias approach and nepotism in the Tinsel Town.
The police also found some depression medicines at his home, which made his fans believe that he was under depression and hence committed suicide. But the investigation into his untimely death has opened up a box full of worms, escalating a new twist every single day. Initially the case was entirely focused on nepotism then shifted to the late actor’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty witch theory then became a political propaganda via CBI. Let me highlight on what all mind boggling things has happened in Sushant’s case:
Sushant suffering from Clinical Depression
The police found anti-depressant medicines in Sushant’s house, that remained in the news for a while. His girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty also disclosed that Sushant was battling clinical depression and was under treatment for over 6 months. But his ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande refuses to believe the same, as she has known Sushant for a very long time and as per her, he was a carefree and a nonchalant person, who can never commit suicide.
A Victim of Nepotism
Sushant’s tragic death has shaken us to the core and has raised eyebrows towards the torment of favoritism in the B-Town, which is mainly run by few fraternities, supporting their clans, some are not even as half as talented as the outsiders, who are deprived of opportunities and had to do a lot of struggle to sustain themselves in the Bollywood. Karan Johar and Salman Khan’s name came into limelight for being a movie mafia controlling the Hindi movie industry.
During inquiry of Sushant’s suicide case, police found out, that he had lost 7 movies in a row after signing the contract. This impelled the Mumbai police to come into action and questioned the top most production houses in the Bollywood. The most controversial actress Kangana Ranaut backed this entire nepotism wave and criticized all the biggies in the Bollywood who displayed favored treatment towards star children. Shekhar Kapur was also vocal about the whole scenario, he revealed that Sushant cried on his shoulder when he lost big films due to nepotism.
Rhea the Witch Tale
Rhea Chakraborty, Sushant’s girlfriend tweeted a post requesting Amit Shah – Union Home Finance Minister for seeking CBI probe, which was ruled out by Anil Deshmukh – Maharashtra’s Home Minster, stating that Mumbai police is proficient enough to take care of the case. She also demanded that the case should be transferred from Bihar (Sushant’s home town) to Mumbai, which was not taken very well by Sushant’s father K.K. Singh, who later registered a FIR against the actress and her family for supposed abetment of suicide and blamed her for blowing his money to lead an extravagant life, theft and cheating him for her own financial gain, reversed the entire case.
Another case has been registered against Rhea for money laundering by Sushant’ father as Rhea had transferred 15 crores from his account to an unconnected account post his demise. The ED – Enforcement Directorate filed a case over “distrustful transactions” worth Rs 15 crore in link with the death of Sushant. Rhea later posted a video uttering that all the allegations against her were baseless.
Political War
Sushant’s suicide case has turned into a conflict between the police of two states i.e. Maharashtra and Bihar. The leader of opposition in Bihar Legislative Assembly Tejashwi Prasad Yadav claimed, that till date Maharashtra Police is not able to resolve Sushant’s suicide case, so what can be predicted from the Bihar Police as we know how the police works here. He demanded for a CBI enquiry as well. Whereas, The Maharashtra Minister of State Home, Shambhuraj Desai stated the Bihar Police team in Mumbai, didn’t follow the conventional procedures. Meanwhile, the central government has agreed to the request of the Bihar Government for a CBI probe in Sushant Rajput’s suicide case. The CBI has filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and his family and will soon be uploading the FIR copy on their official website.
