Another tragic news for the film industry post the demise of Irfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor. Bollywood actor and television star Sushant Singh Rajput, who had an exceptional and outstanding presence on the big screen, supposedly committed suicide on Sunday at his Bandra home, Mumbai. The 34-year-old “MS Dhoni” actor was found hanging at his home, as confirmed by the Mumbai Police in the initial investigation stage. While his representative and Mumbai Police as acknowledged that, Sushant Singh Rajput has committed suicide and was found dead in his apartment in Bandra (West), but no suicide note has been recovered so far from his residence.



His unexpected death has come as a tremor to the film fraternity, as this is the fourth death of a public figure from the Bollywood industry in the last 2 months, after Irfan Khan, Rishi Kapoor and Wajid Khan from the Sajid-Wajid pair passed away. The industry is still pirouetting with the death of the legends and now they are under complete state of shock with yet another loss. His team posted a statement for his fans, “It pains us to share that Sushant Singh Rajput is no longer with us. We request his fans to keep him in their thoughts and celebrate his life, and his work as they have done so far. We request media to help us maintain privacy at this moment of grief”.

Another appalling thing, Sushant’s former manager Disha Salian committed suicide as well a few days ago and he has put a post on Instagram stating, “It’s such devastating news”. The Kedarnath star’s, domestic help called the police, after he found him hanging from the ceiling. The Mumbai police is investigating the death and forensic team is on their toes and has collected samples from his residence. The post-mortem of the 34-year-old will be done in Cooper and Bhabha Hospital.

The Patna-born Sushant became a household name, with the super hit TV series “Pavitra Rishta”. His good looks and youthful charm bagged him, his first Bollywood movie in 2013, Kai Po Che which was based on the bestselling book “The three mistakes of my Life”, followed by Shuddh Desi Romance, a romantic comedy in the same year. He was lately seen in the movie “Chhichhore” along with Shraddha Kapoor, which was a huge blockbuster and “Drive” was his last appearance on Netflix. There were rumors that Sushant was dating Rhea Chakraborty, but the actor remained silent on it.

This is till date his best performance, the film was a massive blockbuster. M.S. Dhoni is a biopic of the legendary cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Sushant had to undergo a lot of physical training for the role, his performance was applauded by his fans and the critics.

Sushant played the role of a confused lover in the movie. The movie was produced by Aditya Chopra. The movie had a typical rom-com stirring upon the issues of commitment phobia, insecurity related to love, and the persistently chaotic mindset of today’s generation.
