The sensational television series “Money heist” has become the most viewed series with almost 44 million watchers in the year 2019. There are plentiful reasons that made the series greatest amongst the all, very distinct from the other series on television. Money heist is as an assortment of characters close to real-life with individual attributes may or may not be relatable but they reveal common traits which an audience can connect to.
The most tantalizing part of the show is kind of intricacy and erudition every character grasps which seems very genuine. The show revolves around a mastermind called The Professor as he accomplishes two huge heists with his selected gang of burglars who have all presumed names of famous cities. The top ranked character in the show is “the professor”, portrayed by Alvaro Morte. Here, through this article let me highlight the characteristics of my favorite actor in the series.
Professor – The most intrigued character
The Professor (Sergio Marquina) is the prominent character in the series La Casa de Papel i.e. Money Heist. The role is portrayed by actor Alvaro Morte. He orchestrated the heist of Royal Mint of Spain and later structured the heist of the Bank of Spain in Madrid, which had been masterminded by Berlin. The character of Professor is brilliantly designed. A shrewd planner, timid villain who could easily influence the burglars, controlled the entire heist from back seat and simultaneously fooling the police into doing precisely what he wanted.
The professor is extremely sharp and assiduous, his prodigy way of making alterations in the precarious circumstances, making an immaculate plan without any gap and facing the tornados with endurance and serenity. After Berlin he is considered as the most patient amongst all the robbers. His precision approach is quite evident through his vigilant thoughtfulness and preparing for all conceivable developments that could come up during the heist. The professor has delicate management abilities because being the planner, one needs to have far sighted approach which would help him in his endeavor for excellence, where he urges the gang to stick to the game plan in all scenarios.
Professor – The Mastermind
The professor looks like any other guy next door with not so alluring physical appearance but his intelligence sets him apart – he comes up with plans and tactics that others would rarely see. The professor illustrates a profound consideration of human behavior and composes a plan absolutely on the basis of his scrutiny of the given circumstance. His actions would somberly depend upon the retorts from the police, the government and the public.
The professor has an extraordinary understanding in conciliation strategies, police tactic, ammunitions, law execution, hostage disaster abhorrence, falsification, mugging and bank burglaries. The professors show a symptom of OCD – obsessive compulsive disorder when he tries to remain perfect in positioning things, in another words he is very fixed in his habits and regime like the way he moves his spectacles or arranging things in a particular way or in the manner he espouses origami while talking on the phone, such conducts also make his personality more composite. These elusive shades of his characteristics can be seen when is nervous or worrisome but his face remains expressionless. Addressing him as perfectionist would be much accurate.
Professor – A Secretive Lover
The professor falls in love with Raquel – the investigating officer of the National Police Corps, which was contrary to his own guidelines. He once explained to Raquel that he is a very secretive type and non-social. In the beginning he got close to Raquel as part of the plan but later his emotions superseded his reserved side. It was a very realistic emotion, although professor carries an estranged image but deep down the actual reason to plan a heist was his feelings for his father.
The characteristic he possess made it hard for him to fall in love but his loneliness drew him towards ecstasy, sensations, a personal touch, a little concern made him susceptible towards getting attached to Raquel. Their relationship added more pressure, spark and sentiments to the show which was loved by the audience. Love is a remedy of all sorts of pains, since the professor remained alone throughout his life, when came in touch with the person as intelligent as him – made his desirability to her even more strong and irresistible.
Money heist is one of the very rare series with such well-established characters. Every actor in the show had unique personality traits which has set them apart. Though, it is challenging to trace an image of any actor without dripping off some plunders, the show is incredible and flabbergasting one can’t take their eyes off from.
