MONEY HEIST WAS DESTINED TO FAIL BEFORE NETFLIX HAND-PICKED IT
The series was first aired in Spain on Spanish TV Channel Antena on 3rd May 2017, the original name was La Casa de Papel which further translated into The house of Paper, Netflix after acquiring the streaming rights of the show renamed it as Money Heist for American viewers. FROM WHERE THE NAME TOKYO CAME
The creator of the show Alex Pina wore a T-shirt with the word Tokyo printed in the front, this gave an idea to the director and the producer of the show Jesus Colmenar and he decided to keep the name “Tokyo” for one of its character. Hence the other names like Moscow, Denver, Berlin were kept within 15 minutes.
SCREENPLAY WAS NEVER WRITTEN IN ADVANCE –PLOT LESS
This is one of the most appalling fact of Money Heist, however the plot looked thought-provoking to the audience but the script was never planned in advance. The event in the series created a lot of hitch in the escape plan but everything was penned down alongside shooting. The cast was given the script for each episode simultaneously when they were shooting. The reason was if an actor or director catches something truly extraordinary on the set, the writer can immediately bring necessary changes in the direction of the series. This turned out to be beneficial in spite of the complexities involved that could have led to complexities.
WHAT WAS THE CITY NAME FOR PROFESSOR?
Alvaro Morte – known as Professor in the series, in one of the interview shared that he liked the selection of addressing himself as Vatican City (after removing the religious components). It is a very small place. He revealed the reason that just like Vatican City, the professor remains shielded and has a strong control on everyone. The fact remains, “The Professor does have a city name”.
THE ICONIC DALI MASK – A HOMAGE
The illustrious dali mask is an homage to the well-known painter Salvodar Dali, who was popular for his dream like art work and his capitalist opinion. His statements were creating misunderstandings and not restraining one’s imagination. The similar thing was done by the Professor and the heist team.

The show was written in a manner that all the robbers will suffer from terminal ailment and would die eventually. This justifies the reason that why the heist was strategically planned. But all robbers were entangled in varied situation with only Berlin suffering from the terminal disease.
