Miss India’s Winner from 1947 till 2019

Miss India, popularly known as Femina Miss India is a national beauty pageant of the country. It has been structured and organized by Femina magazine, distributed by The Times Group. The winners of the competition represent India to participate in the international beauty pageants like Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss Asia. The first Miss World from India was Reita Faria, while the second Miss World was Aishwarya Rai in the year 1994 who got a lot of fame to the country. Sushmita Sen was the first Miss Universe from India, the first Indian who wore the Miss India crown. Femina Miss India is the most admired and prominent pageant in India. It is a national enchantment show in India.

The Miss India contest is a great platform to be a part of the Bollywood industry, as most of the winners have tried their luck in acting and have become superstars Like Priyanka Chopra, Aishwarya Rai, Juhi Chawla and many more. It has changed the life of many beautiful young ladies. Over a last decade, many institutes have started training young girls to participate in beauty pageants and such training academies have mushroomed across the nation. Miss India competition has always fascinated us and had remained an intriguing topic. The pageant commenced in 1947 and since then there was no looking back.   1. It is so sad that Sushmita won the title of Ms. india and Aishwarya got more coverage. Many times media can be bias but irrespective of their biasness, fact is Sushmita did win the title though Aishwarya was a strong contender for it.
