Feeling like a failure – Regardless of your grades, a stable relationship, or a pleasant lifestyle, there will be times when you feel like a loser.

You have the feeling that your friends have better-paying jobs, are content in every way, and travel excessively. You also get the feeling that you’ve never really achieved anything. At times, you may feel as though you’ve failed badly in life.

The good news is that being behind in your profession does not always mean being unsuccessful. Even if you aren’t exactly where you want to be right now, you aren’t doomed to be there forever. Feeling like a failure is a difficult emotion to overcome, but it is not impossible.

Anxiety and depression are possible outcomes. Feeling like a failure has been related to a variety of health issues, including depression and stress.

Stop trusting your own thoughts

The mind is the battleground of your future selves, and you must feed it with realities rather than illusions in order to do better. With the right words, the mind can be nourished both physically and intellectually. We can’t live in the past glory, and we can’t keep comparing our life to others’. Don’t let your mind take over your life. Feeling like a failure all of the time will worsen the situation.

You don’t have to be helpless

It is just too easy to believe that your professional fate is completely out of your control, dictated by circumstances you can’t control when you’re feeling like a failure. This way of thinking lets you to indulge in your worst thoughts. These thoughts won’t take you anywhere.

What has happened before has no bearing on what will occur in the future. By learning and perfecting your talents, you have complete control over your capacity to rebuild it. Your professional life is a journey, not a sprint, and if somebody is ahead of you doesn’t mean you’ll never catch up.

Don’t get tangled up in the specifics of what went so wrong. It’s pointless to keep pondering about the same issue. While it’s important to dwell on failed projects, it’s even more important to plan your future move and start moving on.

There is nothing like perfect option. The majority of decisions aren’t flawless. The ideal decision is one that is made with certainty. But, as we all know, nothing is definite, so what’s the purpose in constantly feeling like a failure? We only make best possible choices. Nobody can tell whether things will work out for you or not. So go with the flow.

Things happen to us that we don’t have any power over throughout our lives. There are also events for which we are totally responsible: actions for which we feel awkward and hope we could take back, but cannot. And carrying all of that stress, pain, and bitterness may be a hefty load. Even if we can’t turn back time to better the present, we can create a change in the future. If you keep feeling like a failure, you’ll never get anywhere.

To start, you must accept your present situation. You must persuade yourself that everything happens for a reason.
