Although, there is no proper medication for dengue as it is still under development phase, therefore it is better to prevent the disease than curing it. Sleep in the mosquito net to ensure a good night’s sleep. This is the simplest and the most effective method to prevent yourself from mosquito bite.

4. Keep your indoor and outdoor clean:

Cleaning your house is the basic and simplest step in protecting you and your family from dengue. A dirty house can be a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Therefore, ensure you don’t store water in any container or a pot for a longer period of time. Don’t store any water unnecessarily and place fresh water in containers and vessel on every alternate day. Keep your wet garbage  separately.

If there are any holes in the house or pending repair work, get it done at the earliest. Cover items that hold water, such as drum, bucket, pool, flower pot, etc. Close your windows and doors properly. There should not be any stagnant water lying around your house, as mosquitoes lay on the motionless water.

5. Follow good hygiene:

Wash your hands with soap regularly and also replace your hand towel after a day’s use. Keep your wet clothes and shoes  away from the dry clothes.
